Claude Design Lets You Build Prototypes and Slides by Chat
What shipped
Anthropic launched Claude Design via Anthropic Labs on April 17, 2026 — a research preview tool for building prototypes, slides, and one-pagers conversationally, powered by Claude Opus 4.7, available on Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans.
Smarter Work
Before: you described what you wanted, then built it yourself in Figma, PowerPoint, or a doc editor. Now: you describe it to Claude Design and it generates the artifact directly, iterable by conversation. The design tool is the conversation.
How a team used this
Marcus, a consultant, gets a last-minute request: a client needs a polished one-pager summarizing a new service offering before end of day. Normally he'd spend 90 minutes wrestling with a Word template and a slide theme that never quite matched. Instead, he opens Claude Design, describes the service in two sentences, and asks for a one-pager. He refines the headline, swaps the layout, and tightens the CTA — all in conversation. Total time: 12 minutes. He exports, sends, and gets back to the actual work.
